Many experienced travelers know the benefits of flying business class and the added comfort and relaxation it provides. Business class cabin amenities and business class seats provide maximum comfort and privacy during long flights. Business class tickets on American Airlines will save you time at the airport as well.

Business Class Amenities at the Airport

Business class passengers can skip the economy and coach traveler lines at the airport. Instead, business class travelers move directly to the Premier Traveler lines which are shorter and move quickly. Business class travelers access these same preferred lines through security as well. If you are a chronic over-packer, American Airlines offer business and first class travelers additional checked in bags, free of charge. American Airlines provides higher weight limits for checked-in luggage without a penalty to business class passengers. Pack away, you won’t be charged for it (check with American before heading to the airport with your extra bags though because this privilege does vary based on your destination and the aircraft you are traveling). American Airlines continues to add to the list of amenities offered in the business class cabin and continues to improve the business class seat. Check the American Airlines website for a complete list of business class cabin amenities and business class seat options at the American Airlines website.

Your business class ticket on American Airlines provides you with access to airport lounges. The lounges are relaxing and feature bar areas, tables, and recliners where you can relax and wait for your flight. The alcohol is complimentary and so is the food. You can enjoy a hot meal, pick up a snack, choose from a selection of desserts, and get a soda from the soda machine. The lounges are clean, comfortable, and a great place to finish off any last minute work that needs to be completed, send out emails or even plan excursions for your vacation. A lounge attendant will notify you when it is time to check in at your gate for pre-boarding. Also, if there are any flight delays or gate changes, the attendant will notify you of these as well.

Business Class Cabin Amenities

Next, you can pre-board your flight which makes boarding stress free and easy. Your business class seating area offers plenty of room for storage and you can take your time settling into your extra-wide seat. Business class passengers receive soft blankets, pillows, and earbuds. Passengers can request reading materials, extra blankets, or drinks and snacks during their flight as well. The flight attendants in the business class cabin are veteran travelers so your questions are always welcomed by these well-traveled professionals.

Business class seats are larger than coach and economy seats and depending on your aircraft and destination, business class seats usually recline to a completely flat position. Business class cabin amenities and business class seats combine to provide enough comfort and privacy to allow you to sleep on your flight. Business class passengers also receive a five-star meal, free alcohol, champagne, beer and wine and anything else you need to make your flight more enjoyable.

Business class passengers on American Airlines flights receive a Cole Haan amenity kit that is stocked with travel essentials from leading skincare and lifestyle brands C.O. Bigelow and Cole Haan. The amenity kit helps your skin stay hydrated during long flights and is just one of the extra luxuries provided in the business class cabin. Business class passengers on American Airlines flights also receive a Casper sleep set. Flight attendants distribute soft pillows and blankets created by sleep technology company Casper for added comfort during your flight.

Passengers enjoy a multi-course meal in business class and can pair their meal with an exclusive wine. American Airlines maintains a partnership with award-winning chef Sam Choy to create varied and delicious meals for the business class dining menu. Business class meals are healthy, delicious and customized based on your destination. Beer, wine, and alcohol from a carefully curated menu are served in the business class cabin along with juices, sodas, water, coffee, and tea. American Airlines works with world-renown sommeliers to create a wine list that pairs perfectly with the chef-inspired creations. For added convenience, business class passengers can reserve their meal 30 days in advance and up to 24 hours before their flight.

About American Airlines

American Airlines operates the largest fleet of aircraft in the world. The fleets is about 1,500 airplanes. This compares to Europe’s largest airline Lufthansa which has 615 airplanes and Asia’s largest fleet of 655 which belongs to China Southern Airlines. This gigantic airline was formed when US Airways and American merged on Valentine’s Day of 2013.

American Airlines is headquartered in Fort Worth, Texas. Its largest hub is the Dallas Fort Worth Airport (DFW). American flies more than 51 million passengers annually and uses Dallas to route passengers to most locations.

American Airlines was the first airline to hire an African American pilot in 1964. His name was Dave Harris and he was a former American Air Force Pilot. He flew for over 30 years before retiring.

George Clooney starred in a movie called “Up in the Air” which is about a man trying to reach the American Airlines Consecutive 10 Million Mile frequent flyer status. It was a fictional movie, but American Airlines does offer Concierge Key for its major frequent flyers with benefits like dedicated phone lines and limousine service to and from the airport.

American Airlines operates one of the longest flights in the world which is the Dallas Fort Worth to Hong Kong flight. It takes approximately 17 hours and is operated by a 777-300ER. There are an estimated 100,000 Americans living and working in Hong Kong and the Dallas to Singapore flight helps get them there.

In addition to the first-ever African American pilot, American Airlines hired the first female pilot when they hired Bonnie Tiburzi who was only 24 years old when they hired her. This was in 1973 and Bonnie worked for the airlines for 26 years.
