First class travel on Korean Air offers passengers a long list of first class cabin amenities and a phenomenal first class seat. First class cabin amenities include a variety of suite configurations offering varying services. Korean Air continues to upgrade their first class cabins and first class seats to better serve passengers. First class passengers can determine the first class cabin amenities offered on flights at the time of purchase. First class cabin seats and first class cabin amenities vary based on aircraft and destination.

 

A Selection of First Class Seat Configurations

Korean Air offers their Kosmo Suites 2.0 which features a sliding door and upgraded technology. The louvered sliding door allows the seat holder to see out but prevents passengers on the outside from seeing into the suite. There is also an extra 9.4 inches to the partition (bringing the total to 54.7 inches) which adds a lot of privacy to the area. The seating in the Kosmo Suites 2.0 measures 80 inches long and 24 inches wide. There is an 83-inch space between seats for added comfort.

First class passengers in the Kosmo Suites get a dramatically larger space and a seat that lays completely flat. The seat measures 26.5 inches wide, which is 5.9 inches wider than a regular first-class seat. The Kosmo Suite seat measures 79-inches-long and was created using jointless technology to provide maximum comfort and help passengers arrive at their destination feeling pampered and refreshed. The seat is completely adjustable with the touch of a button. The Kosmo Suites also offer back support and a footrest that are adjustable. Each seat comes with a 23-inch high-resolution LCD monitor offering on-demand audio and video entertainment. The Kosmo Suites were designed for work and entertainment with enough space to spread out and tackle work projects. There is also a worktable and a reading lamp. The reading lamp is designed to prevent eye fatigue and is completely adjustable.

 

The Kosmo Sleeper in the first class cabin provides passengers with amenities including complete privacy and an ergonomically designed seat.

The bed-type seat in the Kosmo Sleeper measures 78 inches long and 21.1 inches wide. There is an 83-inch space between seats to ensure privacy. Kosmo Sleeper passengers enjoy a variety of in-flight programs on a 17-inch LCD monitor. Programs provided by Korean Air are on demand and include movies, television programs, and music. Korean Air provides headsets made by Sennheiser, the world-renowned German sound system maker. The large privacy screen in the center of the seating area is a game changer that creates a personal office space where you can complete projects in the privacy of your own office in the sky.

 

The Sleeper in the first class cabin is a seat that lays completely flat and provides extra space and privacy. The Sleeper is found on the B787-9 and some A330-300. Each seat has a 23-inch high-resolution LCD monitor and advanced audio. Entertainment in the first class cabin on Korean Air includes on-demand movies, television programs, and music.

 

Fleet Amenities

Onboard a Korean Air B777-300, A330-300, and A330-200 aircraft there is extra space, footstools, and an individual wide-screen movie theatre. On board a B747-400 aircraft the seat will measure 20.6 inches wide with 83 inches between rows. All seats in first class on Korean Air have a wide back and at least a 10.4-inch LCD monitor.

 

Each seat on Korean Air’s B747-8i, B747-400, B777-300, B777-200, B787-9, A380-800, A330-200, A330-300, and some B737-800, B737-900ER aircraft have a power outlet.

 

First Class Cabin Amenities

 Meals in first class feature freshly made, five-star cuisine prepared by award-winning chefs. Entrees include rib eye steak, beef ribs, and chicken dishes from the Mt. Halla region of Jeju Island. Korean Air offers a signature soup called Jedong Korean Ginseng Chicken Soup. Meals are made with organic products and cater to a wide variety of tastes. There are traditional Korean dishes on the menu including bibimbap, pumpkin nutritious rice, and Korean Style Dongchimi noodles. Meals are served in courses and include an appetizer, a main course with side dishes and a dessert.

Korean Air serves premium wine and champagne in the first class cabin. The wine list offers wines from around the world including the Bordeaux, Bourgogne, and Alsace regions of France. Wines from California, Italy, and Germany are available based on your destination. Korean Air orders wines to be served in the first class cabin three to four years in advance of the expected in-flight service. Top quality champagne is also served, including Perrier-Jouet from France.

First class passengers receive an amenity kit stocked with toiletries and personal care items to make your flight more comfortable. The in-flight amenity kit includes five different luxury brand DAVI cosmetic items, such as face cream, hand cream, aftershave lotion, eye gel, and lip balm. The kit is packaged in a reusable pouch. Other items in the kit used on flights of more than six hours include an eye mask, toothbrush, and toothpaste. Flight attendants on Korean Air offer a wake-up service for first class passengers.

The first class cabin on Korean Air’s Dream Lounge, A380 is equipped with a “Celestial Bar.” The Celestial Bar is a space where passengers can meet and order a cocktail. The bar area has a modern design and is accessible to first class passengers and Prestige class passengers.

 

At the Airport

First class passengers can skip the lines at the check-in counter at the airport and move directly to a first-class check-in lounge where there is no waiting. Baggage can be wrapped to prevent damage and contamination as well. After check-in and baggage check, a Korean Air staff member will personally guide you at Incheon Airport (ICN) all the way to your boarding gate.

Korean Air offers a premium arrival shower service that allows first class passengers to use the showers and saunas at the Grand Hyatt Incheon Hotel at no charge.

First class passengers also receive access to the Korean Air lounges at the airport. These lounges offer premium services including hot meals, snack, and beverages including alcohol service. There is enough space to finish a work project and there are tables and recliners where passengers can relax and wait for their boarding time. First class passengers also receive priority boarding and baggage handling. This means you can board the plane early and relax in your seat and your checked in luggage will be among the first bags to arrive at baggage claim, so you won’t be waiting to find your bag.
